The latest in water purification …
THIS JUST IN: This has to be one of the easiest and coolest ways to purify water we’ve seen. The SteriPEN is a high-tech gizmo that uses ultraviolet (UV) light to kill bacteria, viruses, protozoa and other things we can’t pronounce that hide in dirty water and make you sick.
Just slip one end of the 3.6-ounce microphone-size wand into your water, push a button, and stir. It takes less than a minute to purify a 16-ounce bottle of water; about 90 seconds for a 32-ounce jug.
The SteriPEN Safe Water Pack comes with the battery-powered purifier wand, wide mouth bottle and a pre-filter to strain out all the big junk in your water. At $120, it’s not exactly cheap. But it’ll last for 5,000 treatments and has been proven to kill 99.9 percent of all bacteria, viruses and protozoa. Check it out at steripen.com.

Great for when you don’t have any water and you’re in the backcountry and you see a lake and put some lake water in any water holder and get a SteriPEN out and purify it to prevent from getting diseases that could kill you. It could probably taste like Ozark water or Aquafina or Disani.

This is great! Steripen kills a lot more than the pills do and you don’t have the gross iodine aftertaste. Who wants to drink chemicals? This is fantastic and actually very cost effective. $120 turns out to be only a few cents a gallon if you use it 5000 times.

The filter rocks and it saves you money ’cause for 5$ purficions tablets vs.120$Filter for 5000 uses.5 times 5000=25000 against a measly 120$.You’ll pay more up front but on a 1 week camping trip you’ll not want to keep useing tablets and wait 90 minutes for a drink and best of all no aftertatse,YUCK!!!(Plus it looks cool!)

that would be cool in the woods were there is no clean water.
