This is a great merit badge. After completing the requirements for the merit badge, I interviewed some really good wood carvers who carve wild duck decoys as a hobby. Carving wood duck decoys is one of my favorite hobbies. Although my wood carvings are not as good as some really good master wood carvers, I like my wood carvings and place some of them on a book shelf in my room. Some really good wood carvers sometimes offer their wood carvings for sale at roadside wood carving stands near their wood shop. This is a really great merit badge and a really great hobby.
