a great place to camp in michigan is at lake hudson rec area i went there my first year and loved it! now my dad sister and me go fishing there more often since it is so close to home , (5 miles)

I really enjoy being a counselor for this merit badge. That’s what I did and I got it about a year and a half later.

By far my favorite eagle required merit badge to earn. Get the camping done before you start writing the badge up, because it takes a long time to get the camping done.

Get your blue card for this right away! you will have the best chance of getting out of the way early. At summer camp take the merit badge class and then just go on every outing you possible can!

I really enjoy being a counselor for this merit badge. I having been camping for more than 40 years and use all of these skills every trip, whether with my Scouts or my family and friends.

trust me, do not start this until you’ve been camping quite a bit. If you don’t,it will take forever to get the whole “complete 20 nights of camping” requirement. That’s what I did and I got it about a year and a half later.
