Breath-Holding World Record
David Blaine set a world record by holding his breath for 17 minutes, 4.4 seconds, on Wednesday. He performed the feat live on Oprah Winfrey’s television show.
A sphere full of water became Blaine’s home, as he broke the record previously set on Feb. 10 by Switzerland’s Peter Colat.

Realize the record is actually 8mins and 58secs… for holding your breath. Which he could not break (a couple of years ago). He broke the record for holding your breath after breathing PURE OXYGEN. So what ever you can hold your breath normaly double it plus a little more for pure oxygen. Still impressive but dont forget difference
