Pokemon Crystal Version

Can you only get Raikou and Entei after beating the elite four? And where would you find them if you can get them before the Pokemon league (elite-four)?

Games Guru: You will run into Raikou and Entei early on, in a Ecruteak City, but they leave before you can catch them. After that, you can track them down on your Pokedex.

Is Mewtwo in the game?

Games Guru: Mewtwo is number 150 on the Pokedex, so yes, he is indeed in there.

I’m in Mt. Silver. I meet with Red. I save the game before I battle him. I’ve been trying to win against him, but I keep losing!! How do I win?

Games Guru: Bad news: There is no simple answer for beating Red. His Pokemon are Pikachu, Snorlax, Espeon, Charizard, Venusaur and Blastoise. If you are coming in with a powerful Golem or Onyx, hoping to pound down his Pikachu, you will get a face full of Venusaur and Bloastoise. He will cook your electrics, shock and plant your waters, and dark your psychics. So what do you do? You return the favor. Build up your elite team so you can take damage and deal out some harm, then send out a fire Pokemon when he gives you Venusaur and Snorlax. Send out a Pokemon with some earthquaking ability to meet his Pikachu. You get the drift. If you are going to beat Red, you will beat him with basics—strong Pokemon that can play off his weaknesses.

Where can you get Mew? I found this many times online:
1. Catch all Unown
2. Have letters M-E-W in party
3. Fly to lake of rage
4. Surf up and down till you see him.
I’ve tried this for 6 hours straight and it does not work. Am I doing something wrong, or am I missing something?

Games Guru: As I understand it, Mew is not available in Crystal but can be obtained by trading with someone who has captured it in Red or Blue.

How do I get all 3 legendary pokemon in the game?

Games Guru: I might be showing my ignorance here, but we’re talking about a game that features Articuno, Zapdos, Multres, Lugia, Mew, Mewtwo and Entei, among others. Which pokemon in particular are you looking for?

    To vanderfitz,
Waterfall is in the Ice path. On the first floor you will have to get past a large ice maze. Once you do that you will see another tiny one on the right of some stairs. This is HM07 waterfall.

I don’t know if this really works but I was watching avideo on the internet and the guy claimed not to have used cheats… but he said that masterballs work on the elite four and it showed him catching the first opnents Xatu
Here are some things that made me wonder if he used cheats…
    1. He got on his bike right before they started to battle,
    2. He had 91 masterballs and when I played Pokemon Crystal I could never get more that 4 masterballs (I would get another pokemon but no masterball)

so I dont really know if this works ;-)

    To S-Griffin(AKA How?),
When you have two game boy colors you can hold the black rectangles on the top near each other and select mystery gift. What it will give you is rare items including things like fire stones, PP ups, and rare dolls for you room like a surfing pikachu. Those are rare though, most of the time it is items like berrys or mail. As the name says I am 14 but I am turning 15 this month.

    To 546545546546554654,
You can trade it from the Jappanese version but the only problem is not only would you have to buy a Jappanese version, but you would have to play not knowing how to read Jappanese. That could present some challenges.

    To stupidbob2,
There is no badge called Steel badge but I am going to assume you are asking about the Mineral Badge for that gym leader has steel pokemon. If I am wrong tell me how many badges you have and I can correct my answer. If you only have 4 badges you need to go to Cianwood City. Surf on the far left wall thats starts on Route 40 and eventually you will get there. Before you do this though make sure you have HM04 Strength which you can get at a resturant to the left of the pokemart in Olivine City. Now back to Cianwood City. The first step is beating the gym leader. Once this is done talk to his wife (the woman out side of the gym) and she will give you HM02 Fly. Before you leave though you need to talk to a man in the house all the way to the south of the island and he will give you the secret potion if you have already talked to Jasmine at the top of the Olivine Lighthouse. Finally, fly back to Olivine City and go back up to Jasmine, give her the potion and she will then be availble to battle in her gym. Hope this helps.
